If I comprehend the gist of the lyrics right, I’d say there’s probably a lot of folks who’d relate to them now, during the current pandemic, pondering life/death while isolating. I still need to listen to a lot of Phideaux’s catalogue, but my intuition tells me this one will be near the top of my favourite Phideaux albums list when I’m done, if not at the apex. This is a great conceptual prog rock album. I’m late to the party, but better late than never! 8.5+/10.

Quite enjoyable album. I like the clarity of the lyrics, & their emotive, thought provoking narrative. The music is expressive & never too complicated. I enjoy the folky, reflective segments. Although not well acquainted with the concept of the work, I am eager to explore the whole trilogy of albums, of which this is the 1st. I expect to edit my review at some point. For now, I find this album interesting & easy to listen to. My thanks, Phideaux, for your generosity & music. 7.5+/10.

The debut album of this great Polish prog band. It may not be quite as polished or mature as the latest couple of albums, but yet it features a different, less catchy - perhaps more proggy - and definitely a more somber version of the band. Retrospective have changed their sound, surely. You may prefer their latter music, or their former - but one thing is certain: this is a great album you should not miss!

Although the 3 guest vocalists on this album sing wonderfully, and the songs are diverse and creative, I still prefer the voice of Peter Falconer. Still, I highly recommend this album, aware that my preference is somewhat of a bias. Some of the guitar playing on here is incredible. Despite the new vocalists, the sound of this album is still distinctly Drifting Sun. Personally, I give it 7.5/10.
